Treating Mange In Dogs

Wednesday, March 21st, 2012

When dogs come into our facility with red, irritated itching skin, we take them to the vet to get examined for mange. We don’t risk it spreading to the other dogs in the facility or even the workers. It’s surprising to some that some types of mange in dogs can be transmitted to people. Usually, if a dog has mange, between isolation and careful hygiene, we keep the spread of this ailment at a minimum. We shampoo and dip the dogs on a regular basis. It seems to work well. The dogs and their skin look great!

Undiagnosed Medical Issues in Dogs Need to be Addressed

Friday, March 9th, 2012

Working for a dog rescue center is quite a rewarding experience. Each day frightened animals come through our door just minutes before they were scheduled to be put down. Our center has helped thousands of of dogs find permanent homes and makes sure that any medical conditions have been treated before they are placed with their new families. Often times it was an undiagnosed medical problem, such as epilepsy in dogs, which caused the dog to be taken to the shelter in the first place.

Saving Money With Free Shipping

Friday, January 13th, 2012

I told my husband about the great offers on pet food and the free shipping on dog food. We figured out the savings and realized that we can save big money with this offer. I am always looking for the very best deals and this is indeed a great deal. Sometimes shipping and handling charges are just as much as the dog food, making it a little harder to afford the high quality foods that we prefer to feed our pets. With an offer like this, we can get the same great food that we have come to depend on at a price that we can afford.

Use vet reviews to choose a pet health care pro

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Before you pick a pet health care pro in your area to take care of the health needs of your furry little friend, I recommend you read on line and use some vet reviews to help you make sure that you are picking a vet that is right for your pet. You can find some vet reviews on the local bulletin board web sites where people in your area can post their opinions about the pet specialists around you. You may also be able to find vet reviews on a specialty site based out of your area, so do not forget to use a search engine site to try and find one of these. If you search around on line with patience and persistence, I bet it will not be long at all before you find some great vet reviews that help you make your final decision.

Find a Vet Close to Home

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Find a vet using multiple resources, including word of mouth, yellow pages, internet sources, and referral advertisements. Searching for a vet in your local area will ensure a close to home source for your pet needs. Ask friends, family, and co-workers which vet they use, and begin your research from there.

Find a vet that offers the exact services you are looking for. Certain vets may only care for dogs and cats, while others will take on a variety of pets such as small rodent pets or exotic birds and lizards. Once you have asked around, finding the vet in an online directory or on the internet can be the next step to researching all that the vet office has to offer.

Once you have narrowed down your choices, it is beneficial to contact each of the vet offices to see if they will be a good match for your pet needs. Take this opportunity to ask questions. The availability, knowledge, and friendliness of the reception staff is important because when you are in need of pet services you are going to want to be able to talk with someone right away.

Find a vet that offers a variety of services. Annual exams, vaccines, surgery and dental procedures, grooming, boarding, micro chipping, and stem cell therapy are just some of the many services you may need at some point in the life of your pet. Find a vet that you think is a good fit. If they do not offer a service you think you may need in the future, they can always refer you to a specialist.

Do not forget about emergency care as well. Find a vet with easy access to emergency care. In the event you have an emergency with your pet, you will want to know how to contact your vet and what steps to take to see care. Find a vet that has an affiliation with a twenty four hour emergency vet clinic. After covering all aspects of finding the perfect vet match, you and your pet will be on your way to a long healthy relationship together.

Cats for Sale Ads inserted within Cat Articles

Sunday, August 1st, 2010

I have been doing freelance writing for the last year or so. I really enjoy my job. Today I got a call from a client asking me for several Cat articles.  Overtime, I noticed that typically, Cats for Sale Ads were inserted within Cat Articles, so I was mindful of that.  They wanted to know if I could get them all done within the next week. I had to tell them that if they wanted the done that quick, that they would have to pay an extra fee. They must need those articles really bad, because they agreed to the fee right away. I am going to have to work a bit of overtime, but the pay will definitely be worth it.  Besides, I enjoy writing cat articles, and the cats for sale ads are so cute.
